We are all about taking advantage of the rain by jumping in some puddles. This is one reason why I bought them rain boots. But we are feeling cooped in by the rain and lack of ☀️ shine. I don’t know how I ever survived Boston winters. We have an outing scheduled tomorrow but while at home we’ve done the following: baked muffins/cookies, watched movies, made a fort, and created our own version of McStuffinsville. Feeling cooped up like us? This is a great time to visit an indoor place like a library, museum, movie theater or indoor playground. Another great and free option is to schedule a play date with another family. What is everyone else doing during these rainy days? Some of my best MOMents with Little man was when we would go to a Parent and Me class in Boston and Whittier. I learned a lot, met awesome parents and felt connected to a community even when we were moving bicoastal. Now, I’m doing it again with my Baby Hulk. We get some structured one on one time meant for just us, he’s socializing with other toddlers besides his brother, learning, and we are connecting with our community. I definitely recommend a Parent and Me class for anyone interested. If you don’t know where to start, go to your local rec center or community college extension where they usually provide one at a reasonable fee. The one we did in Whittier was through the alternative Ed school and it was amazing!!!!
