Libraries feel magical and safe and a place I grew up loving. While making an impromptu trip to our local branch, I remembered the library story time being the first outing I took as a mama of two. A story, craft, singing and other moms felt safe and close by so should any anxiety overwhelm me I can easily go back home. Fast forward to this moment, I have a 3 and 5 year old and they both love the library. They find books that they like and are introduced to new themes. Our school is studying Andy Warhol art, we are celebrating Black History Month, and St Patrick’s Day is around the corner, so we checked out some of these books too. I just need to remember to carry a book bag with me because you can check out up to 30 books at a time!

📚 There are so many resources at the library besides checking out books. You can find coupons for local attractions, participate in story time and free workshops, and use your card to get into museums. There’s also the Friends of (Insert Branch Name Here) program that allows you to purchase used books for $.50-$1 and I’ve definitely found great children’s books here!
